About
Angela Bonds, LMSW
Helping kids, teens, and young adults feel
understood and supported
Sometimes life feels like too much — too much pressure, too many changes, too many emotions all at once
You or your child might not be able to explain exactly what’s wrong, but something just feels off. School is harder, motivation is gone, sleep is weird, moods are all over the place, or everything just feels kind of heavy. That’s where I come in.
I’m here to help
I’m Angela Bonds, a therapist who works with kids, teens, and young adults who are trying to make sense of what they’re feeling and find some peace in the middle of it. Whether someone is struggling with school, friendships, family stuff, or just feeling overwhelmed by life, I create a space where they can be real and feel safe being themselves.
I love working with young people — it’s where my heart is
I believe that what they're going through matters, even if it’s hard to put into words. I help them slow down, figure out what’s really going on, and learn how to handle things in a way that feels doable and honest.
In our sessions, I use tools that are practical and easy to connect with — like helping clients notice how their thoughts and emotions are linked, how to stay calm during big emotional moments, and how to build confidence in their decisions and identity. I pull from several therapy approaches like CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), mindfulness, and psychodynamic work — but I always tailor things to what feels right for each person. This isn’t a one-size-fits-all process.
My Style is Relaxed, Real, and
Always Supportive
I don’t expect anyone to show up with everything figured out — just showing up is enough. And if meeting in person isn’t possible, I offer virtual sessions too.
I’m originally from Tennessee and earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from Mercer University and my Master’s in Social Work from Georgia State University. When I’m not working, I’m probably cooking something new, planning my next trip, or spending time with my family.
If you or your child is feeling stuck, lost, or like something needs to change — I’d be honored to help you figure out what that next step looks like.
